Privacy
Your journal stays on your phone.
Fernweh has no accounts and no sign-in. Your entries, photos, notes and recorded routes are stored in the app’s database on your device. There is no BearMo Studios server holding a copy, because there is no BearMo Studios server.
There are no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising code, no crash-reporting services and no trackers in the app. We don’t sell or share your data, because we don’t have it.
The honest caveat. When you search for a place to attach to an entry, that search is handled by Apple Maps and goes to Apple, under Apple’s privacy policy. And because your journal lives only on your device, it’s only as safe as your backups — keep iPhone backup turned on. The full privacy policy spells all of this out.
Pricing
Free to try for two months.
Fernweh is a paid app with an introductory free trial. Nothing is charged during the trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends without paying anything.
- Free trial: 2 months, once per Apple Account.
- Then: $PRICE per PERIOD, billed through your Apple Account.
- Renewal: renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
- Cancelling: any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
