Fernweh
Your adventures. Remembered.
Fernweh is German, roughly “farsickness”: the ache for places you haven’t been yet.
A hiking journal for the trails you’ve actually walked. Record the route, rate the hike, and keep the photos and notes, all of it stored on your phone, not on somebody’s server.

The two of us
Hey there, we’re Bear and Elmo!
The two people behind BearMo Studios. Bear has spent over a decade writing code, and Elmo has spent about as long working in product. Together, we make small apps we’d want to use ourselves.
Outside of work you’ll usually find us out on a trail, playing a video game, watching a movie, reading, or hunting down good food wherever we travel. Fernweh started as something we built for our own hikes, and we’re happy to share it.
